After I gave birth to our first child, my husband noticed that I seemed less and less like myself. I was later diagnosed with postpartum depression. After many tears and conversations with friends and family, I finally decided that I needed an outlet. I really wanted to put my hands in the mud and create, so I began The Smith Project as a what to recharge and spend time with God.
The story behind The Smith Project is a merging of my passion for art and writing, that expresses the heart of God. I believe the Lord has fashioned me to be a messenger of His heart and my desire is for God's character to shine through my life and my art so that others can know who He is.
I love so many veins of art that I can't just stick to one, but have to to try many different forms. So I began to make my own home decor as well as many other art pieces.
As an expression of the heart of The Smith Project, 10% of all profits will go towards moms and families in need.
